The super featherweight division is full of talent right now, with all four major belts occupied by different fighters. However, this Saturday WBC champion Oscar Valdez faces off with WBO champion Shakur Stevenson in a huge unification bout in Las Vegas.
WBC champion Oscar Valdez has fluctuated between featherweight and super featherweight throughout his career. But his first world title came in the featherweight division when he lifed the WBO title after a second round TKO of Matias Rueda in his 20th fight.
Three years after his world title triumph, Valdez opted to vacate the belt in 2019, following six tough defences which included veterans like Miguel Marriaga and Scott Quigg.
In 2021, Valdez got his shot against WBC super featherweight champion Miguel Berchelt, and produced a vicious knockout of Berchelt, as Valdez was crowned a two weight world champion.
Last time out, Valdez made the first defence of his WBC belt, unanimously defeating Robson Conceicao in Tucson.
Shakur Stevenson turned pro in 2017, following a decorated amateur career which culminated in a Silver medal at the Rio 2016 Olympics. Stevenson's dedication to winning was praised as he broke down in tears as he came up short of the Gold.
Stevenson was making a big charge through the pro game, and in his nineth fight he became the first man to stop Viorel Simion, and it only took him one round.

Stevenson kept plucking away picking up ranking belts in the featherweight division and was reward with a WBO title shot. Stevenson comprehensively outboxed Joet Gonzalez to lift his first title in just his 12th fight.
Stevenson moved up to super featherweight. In 2021, he took full advantage of a shot at Jeremia Nakathila for th WBO 'interim' title, picking up a shutout victory, including Nakathila hitting the canvas in round four.
The WBO championship came next, as Stevenson unseated champion Jamel Herring by stoppage in the tenth round of their bout in Atlanta.
These two men took simialar journeys, and are both two weight world champions, but who leaves Vegas holding all the gold?
