Paul Butler has climbed to the top the of the mountain again, as he became WBO 'Interim' Bantamweight champion after outpointing Jonas Sultan in Liverpool.

Sultan was a late replacement oppoent, seeing as the WBO Champion John Riel Casemiro was removed from the bout following a breach of medical policy. The WBO have yet to confirm whether Casemiro will be stripped and Butler potentially being upgraded to full champion.
The fight was a high paced, action packed bout. However, Butler nullified Sultan's early work to pick up the victory, with the scorecards reading 116-112, 118-110 and 117-111, all in Butlers favour.
Following the bout, Butler expressed his delight: "I had 48 hours to get a game plan together. It's unbelievable. What a feeling. I've waited a long time to become a two-time world champion,
Butler has strung eight wins in a row together since his last loss, and with the potential of being upgraded to super champion, this win could unlock doors to mega fights.
The undercard saw Sam Maxwell unsuccessful in his challenge for the IBO Super Lightweight title against Alejandro Meneses as Maxwell was stopped in the ninth round of a thrilling fight.

Jazza Dickens returned to winning ways, as he unleashed a lethal left uppercut on former European champion Andoni Gago, prompting a knockout win in round five for Dickens. Former world champion Rocky Fielding also got a stoppage victory, this time in the third round over Timo Laine.

The McGrail brothers impressed again, as Joe moved to 3-0 with a knockout of Mohammed Al Wraith in one round. Meanwhile, Peter moved to 4-0, producing a fourth round knockout over Uriel Lopez Juarez.
Blane Hyland climbed off the canvas to pick up a victory over Stephen Jackson over six rounds. William Cawley impressed in his second pro fight as he outpointed Marius Vysniauskas over four.
Steven Cairns produced a spectacular knockout in the first round of his fight with Jose Hernandez. Cairns was looking for rounds but when the opening came, he couldn't resist.
