The co-main event sees Manchester's Zelfa Barrett challenge Faroukh Kourbanov for the European super featherweight title. Barrett has impressed since he signed with Matchroom and has worked his way to this shot at the title. Kourbanov is a former foe of Joe Cordina. Cordina beat Kourbanov in 2021 by majority decision in a very tough fight. Since then, Kourbanov picked up the European title and will make his first defence against Barrett. A huge carrot has been dangled, as their is a high possibility that the winner of this bout could face the winner of the main event for a world title. IntuBoxing caught up with Barrett at the public workout, where he boldy claimed he will be world champion, but he's not looking past Kourbanov.
