In the lead-up to the recent collapse of the mega-fight between WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, a new challenger emerged in Mahmoud Charr, who claimed he was taking the fight with Fury.
Charr has been calling out the 'Gypsy King' frequently over the past few weeks and also claimed that he has signed contracts to face Frank Warren's top three heavyweights in Tyson Fury, Joe Joyce and Daniel Dubois. Talks were open between Fury and Joshua whilst all this was going on and Charr claimed Fury was ducking him for taking the fight with Joshua.
It has been confirmed by both Eddie Hearn and George Warren that Fury won't be facing Joshua, meaning Charr's claims were becoming more of a reality. When the deal between Fury and Joshua fell through, Hearn labelled a fight between Fury and Charr a terrible fight. In addition to Hearn's comments, former WBC cruiserweight champion and close friend of Hearn, Tony Bellew claimed that Fury never intended to fight Joshua and claims that Derek Chisora has now been offered the Fury fight for December 3rd.
Charr has responded with an X-Rated video on his Instagram story, where he rips into Hearn and Bellew for 'interfering' in their business with Frank Warren and potentially stalling his bout with Fury. He even goes on to say that once he deals with Fury, he will beat Joshua.

Fury looks set to be fighting on December 3rd a the Principality Stadium in Cardiff but his opponent will not be Anthony Joshua. The two opponents who look most likely to be the man standing across the ring from the WBC heavyweight champion in December are either Mahmoud Charr or Derek Chisora.
