Lucas Browne claimed a massive stoppage victory over the weekend as he knocked out Junior Fa in the first round of their heavyweight fight at the Marvel Stadium in Melbourne.
The two men went head to head on the undercard of the undisputed lightweight title showdown between George Kambosos and Devin Haney, but Browne ensured that people would be talking about him too.

Fa was a big favourite heading into the fight for the WBA Oceania and IBF Australasian heavyweight titles, but Browne had other ideas, as he dropped Fa with a big shot early into the first round.
Fa managed to get back to his feet, but he was clearly still affected from the first knockdown, and while the referee let it continue, it wasn't long before Browne knocked Fa down again with another big shot.

The referee then waved it off, handing Browne an impressive victory as he took his victory to 31-3, with 27 of those wins coming by knockout. Fa now falls to 19-2, making it two straight losses following his defeat to Joseph Parker in February 2021.
