Promoter Eddie Hearn has confirmed that Conor Benn is headlining the O2 Arena on October 8th, and it has been heavily rumoured that the man standing across the ring from him on that night will be Chris Eubank Jr.
IntuBoxing managed to grab a word with Chris Eubank Jr's promoter Kalle Sauerland whilst he was on duty promoting Josh Kelly's clash with Lucas Bastida. With all the rumours and speculation, questions had to be asked as to whether there are legs in a bout between Eubank Jr. and Benn. When asked, Sauerland responded: "If any of you were Sherlock Holmes, I wasn't at the [Kelly vs Bastida] press conference this week.
"So, clearly, I've either been on holiday, which I haven't, as I don't have a fantastic sun tan at the moment, so I would say if I was betting, I was working on something in the background wasn't I?"
Sauerland also discusses Josh Kelly's victory over Lucas Bastida, paying credit to Bastida for giving Kelly a tough night, and spoke about his exciting new fighter joining his stable in Lyndon Arthur. The full interview with Sauerland can be watched below.
