The pair first fought in September 2017, and the fight resulted in a controversial split decision draw with Adelaide Byrd producing an absurd 117-111 scorecard in favour of Canelo.
The rematch in September 2018 was an equally entertaining fight, but wasn't short of controversy with Canelo being declared the winner, handing GGG the first defeat of his professional career.
The pair agreed to a trilogy for September of this year following GGG's victory over Ryota Murata, and Canelo's shock loss to Dmitry Bivol, as Canelo dared to be great by attempting to step up to light heavyweight.
The trilogy bout will be for Canelo's undisputed super middleweight crown, and the face off at the opening press conference showed that their was no love lost between the pair.
The monstrous trilogy bout takes place at the T Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, the same venue that played host to the previous two bouts between the pair. The fight will be broadcast on DAZN PPV in the US, and part of the regular DAZN subscription everywhere else.
