Kambosos Jr has uploaded footage to his instagram, showing Haney celebrating his world title glory over Teofimo Lopez, claiming Haney is his biggest fan in the caption.
Haney won the WBC 'interim' title in September 2018, but was elevated to full champion shortly after.
Kambosos Jr had worked his way up the rankings and travelled to London to defeat Lee Selby in a final eliminator. Teofimo Looex defeated Vasyl Lomachenko for the IBF, WBA and WBO belts, meaning Kambosos Jr would face Lopez.
Kambosos was the underdog coming in, but dropped Lopez early on before going on to get the decision over 12 rounds, providing a seismic shake up in the lightweight ranks.
Kambosos and Haney meet head on on June 4th live from Marvel Stadium in Australia for all the lightweight gold, and can be watched in the UK on Sky Sports.
