The weigh-in took place on Friday with defending champion Davis weighing 133.75lbs, while challenger Romero was slightly lighter at 134.25lbs.
The main talking point came after the weigh-in though, as Davis shoved Romero off the stage, leading to a near brawl between the two fighters and their teams.

They had to be pulled apart and things were eventually calmed down, but it has added even more spice to their lightweight battle on Saturday.
Davis heads into the fight on the back of victories over Isaac Cruz and Mario Barrios in 2021, while Romero has earned stoppage victories over Anthony Yigit and Avery Sparrow in the past 12 months.
