Mayweather called time on his 19 year professional career in 2015, where he defeated Andre Berto to bring his record to 49-0.
However, Mayweather was lured out of retirement by Irish UFC Mega star Conor McGregor. Mayweather vs McGregor was considered the blocbuster event of 2017, as the huge crossover fight did 4.3 million PPV buys in the US alone. Maywether knocked out McGregor in the tenth round to bring his professional record to a perfect 50-0.
Mayweather has competed in two exhibition bouts since. The first was a first round knockout victory over Japanese kickboxing star Tenshin Nasukawa in Tokyo in 2018.
Mayweather's next exhibition came against YouTube star Logan Paul in 2021. With YouTube boxing on the rise, Paul starting shouting Mayweather's name, Mayweather accepted the call and the two fought. The bout went the full eight rounds, with no winner being declared, the bout reportedly did over a million PPV buys.
Mayweather is reportedly set to face former sparring partner Don Moore in an exhibition on a helipad outside Dubai's Burj Al Arab Hotel in May, and judging by his pad work, he looks more than ready!
