Promoter Eddie Hearn says Devin Haney and Teofimo Lopez NEED TO FIGHT after the pair became heated at a recent show.
Both fighters hold versions of the belt, which Mauricio Sulamain recently referrred to – calling Lopez unified champion, implying the highest WBC belt belonged to Haney. Being that Lopez was the man to defeat Lomachenko, the previous holder and P4P contender, Teo has donned the crown of Undisputed – with neither wanting to back down.
“@TeofimoLopez is without doubt the unified champion” ????

The pair got in each others faces in America recently – right in front of the TV cameras.
Now Hearn has had his say – saying Haney shouldn't have 'gone straight for the followers' but understands where his man is coming from as a path for the pair to fight could become clearer after their next bouts.
