Wilder was champion for the majority of Whyte being mandatory and Whyte never got his shot.

Whyte states: "It's cost me millions to be here. My futures been affected."

Whyte relentlessly said: "This shit has almost made me go crazy. I should have fought Deontay Wilder a long time ago."

Sulaiman cited the pandemic as reasoning but Whyte was having none of it stating: "I fought with my interim title during the pandemic twice."
