Denzel Bentley was successful in the first defence of his second reign as British middleweight champion, as he stopped the tough Marcus Morrison in four rounds at York Hall.
The fight got off to an extremely fast start, as both men were teeing off on each other from the first bell. Both men had success in round one, but a cut to Morrison in round two would change the tempo of the fight as Bentley looked to make use of an advantage. Round three was a round that Bentley would dominate, however, Morrison was still dangerous but had visibly slowed down. Bentley would continue a relentless work rate through round four and poured the pressure on Morrison. Morrison's face would become a crimson mask as Bentley was landing at will, resulting in Morrison's trainer, Joe Gallagher, throwing in the towel.
