The Eubank vs Benn family feud is reignited next Saturday as Chris Eubank Jr. locks horns with Conor Benn at the O2 Arena in a fight to defend family honour which is rightly dubbed 'Born Rivals.' The pair appeared on ITV's Good Morning Britain to discuss one of the most intriguing bouts in recent history.
Eubank Jr. and Benn's fathers were in one of the biggest rivalries that Britain ever saw, as Chris Eubank Sr. defeated Nigel Benn in a highly anticipated bout in 1990, before contesting an epic rematch in 1993 that ended in a controversial draw. The trilogy never got made but now their sons do battle, with Conor wanting to finally put a strike in the win column for the Benn family.
The pair appeared on Good Morning Britain with their promoters to talk about the upcoming bout. Both men will be meeting at a catchweight of 157lbs, which will Eubank Jr. dropping to that weight from middleweight, whilst Benn will have to rise from welterweight. Benn has claimed that this [A week out from the fight] is now the 'long part' as all the hard work and training is done, as he claims his training camp was 'strong' and powerful.' Eubank Jr. has been saying throughout his camp that he only needs to be at 60% to beat Benn and he reiterated that when asked on the show, even sporting a t-shirt that says '60% Baby.' Eubank Jr. confirms that he is on weight, despite attempting mind games by posting videos of himself eating junk food over the past few weeks. Eubank Jr. also says he hasn't brought in a nutritionist, as only he knows what his body can do.

The pair were asked how they feel about following in their father's footsteps by taking this fight, with Benn responding by saying that he believes that his father won the second bout and he's coming to right that wrong. Eubank Jr. mentions the amount of pressure on himself by taking this fight, even going on to say that he will retire if he loses. Eubank Jr. admits he has ambitions to fight for world titles in the next 6-12 months, so he can't lose to derail those plans. Benn claims that negotiations were difficult, as Eubank wanted his name first on the poster and wanted to ring walk second, Benn had no problem with this and claims it's a testament to Eubank Jr's big ego, as Benn couldn't care less. Eubank then admits that he has been training himself for the bout. Eubank had enrolled Roy Jones Jr. as his coach for his last couple of fights but has confirmed that he has been training solo for his clash with Benn.

Benn responded saying that he's coming for the stoppage and that if he sees his shot he'll take it and when he shoots he doesn't miss. Benn also confirms that his father will be in attendance, however, Eubank Jr. claims they are 'working' on getting Eubank Sr. there.
