Tonight in Las Vegas, the pound for pound king, Canelo Alvarez faced Caleb Plant for the WBC, WBA Super, IBF and WBO Super Middleweight titles and the fight did not disappoint the paying fans in the arena or on pay-per-view. Alvarez came into the contest with the only blemish on his record against the great, Floyd Mayweather, and Plant came into the fight full of confidence himself defending an undefeated professional record of 20 wins.

The fight was close, according to the official scorecards and going into the 11th round, Plant would have needed a knockout finish to stay undefeated. But, this never materialised and it was Canelo, 30 seconds into the round that stopped the contest.
