The search to find Filip Hrgovic an opponent for a world title eliminator goes on. Following the news that Tony Yoka is unable to compete due to an ongoing dispute with Martin Bakole, the IBF will again go down the rankings to try find a suitable replacement. This will be a concern to Hrgovic who has now been turned down by Luis Ortiz, Joseph Parker and now this with Tony Yoka.
Kalle Sauerland has previously been on record to cite Hrgovic's next opponent will come from the top 10 of the IBF's rankings, and that along with Eddie Hearn they've been working down the list one fighter at a time.
Joe Joyce is the fighter that fits that bill, but it's unlikely he'll take the fight, given his elevated position with other bodies – turning the focus likely to Agit Kabayel.
Kabayel is undefeated in his campaign with 21 wins 13 of which came via knockout. Notably, he beat Derek Chisora in Moncaco to retain his European title, since racking up a further four wins in succession.
