Tommy Fury has threatened to slap Jake Paul after his fight with Paul Bamba this weekend.
The half-brother of WBC Heavyweight Champion of the World is on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather’s latest exhibition this week. The event, which takes place at Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena, will be headlined by Mayweather against popular YouTuber, Deji, with the co-main event being Fury against former US Marine, Paul Bamba.
Whilst Jake Paul is not featured on the card, a lot of talk has been surrounding him since he was announced as a special ringside guest. ‘The Problem Child’ is fresh off a victory over retired MMA star, Anderson Silva, and is in the market for his next opponent.
When asked about Paul’s presence by Global Titans, Fury said he would slap him once he had handled business in the ring.
“I’m not interested who’s there. There could be a million Jake Pauls sat ringside, my mindset is laser focused on Paul Bamba. Getting him out the way and then I’ll out ringside and slap him [Jake Paul] in the face. So I’m not really bothered about Jake Paul and KSI or whoever they’re with, because [it’s] a load of boys really with a load of men.”
It’s widely expected that Fury will face Paul soon. The pair have had two fights pulled already – both being because of issues on Fury’s side – and there has been talk of finally getting it on in the UK. The fact that the American is there ringside makes it likely that there will be some talk of it if Fury wins, which he is expected to do.
UK and US Fans can tune into the event, set for Sunday November 13, via DAZN’s pay-per-view service. The card also features former Love Island contestant, Jack Fincham, against former MMA fighter and Fury opponent, Anthony Taylor.
