Although the long-awaited matchup between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury looked close to an agreement being made, the pair have exchanged words on Twitter once again after Tommy requested the YouTuber to negotiate properly. Now, it seems like the Brit is taking control.
Paul responded to ‘TNT’ Fury’s claims that he was trying to hide behind old terms, calling Tommy and John Fury ‘frauds’. This comes after the pair shared a heated exchange after Fury’s bout on the undercard of Mayweather vs Deji, with John Fury also getting himself involved.
“You & your papa are both frauds. My team & I will never risk a quid on you again. I’m not paying you a pence u dimwit so there’s no old agreement / terms. My team has spoken to the Warrens multiple times this week & the deal is your promoter is paying you. Sign the paperwork.”

It seems that Paul and his team would agree to Fury’s promoter, Frank Warren, paying the Brit. Although the fight cannot take place in the US due to Fury being unable to gain access to the US, ‘The Problem Child’ has previously agreed to fighting in the UK so it looks likely that this obstacle can be overcome.
However, Fury has directed yet another message at Paul, tagging the promotional company behind his latest exhibition, Global Titans. He has said that if Paul wants to fight in February or March of 2023, things can be settled by Wednesday.
“Jake Paul if you want this fight to happen with me and Global Titans in [February] or March in any location decided by [Global Titans], we can have the contracts sent by Wednesday.”

It’s unclear where this leave Frank Warren, and what broadcaster would carry the fight should it be made.
As negotiations continue, fans can expect to see more heated exchanges on social media in the meantime. Whilst their teams work tirelessly to get to an agreement, Paul and Fury continue their rivalry to create an exciting build up.
