Teofimo Lopez looks to return to winning ways following his shock loss to George Kambosos Jr. in November 2021 as he squares off with Pedro Campa on August 13th in Las Vegas.
Lopez was always seen as a hot prospect, but surpassed prospect status when he brutally stopped Richard Commey to pick up the IBF lightweight title. Lopez would then go on to defeat the legendary Vasiliy Lomachenko to unify the IBF, WBA and WBO titles. However, Lopez would be handed his first loss after coming up short against mandatory challenger George Kambosos Jr.
Lopez cited weight issues for the los so now moves to super lightweight. His first bout at that weight comes against Pedro Campa. Campa is a tough mexican who holds a record of 34-1-1.
Lopez will embark on super lightweight glory with his first bout being at Resorts World in Las Vegas against Campa on August 13th, live on ESPN in the US.
