Ten years on from retirement, Ricky Hatton still knows a thing or two about boxing.
‘The Hitman’ has impressed in his open workout ahead of an exhibition bout with Mexican legend, Marco Antonio Barrera. The pair face off this weekend at Manchester’s AO Arena, allowing Hatton’s hometown fans to see that famous ring walk once more.
Looking sharp and quick with his combinations, Hatton seems laser focused just three days out from the bout.

Many fans were delighted to see their boxing hero back in shape after years of darker times that the fighter himself has been open about – and surprised at how sharp he looks in the ring.
He’s also said to have lost an incredible four stone during this training camp – a testament to how seriously he’s taking the showcase event, exhibition or otherwise.
Whilst Hatton highlighted the importance of neither man being hurt in the ring to Sky Sports, he also said that they both guarantee a good and competitive show.
“Me and Marco said ‘not one person walks away Saturday yawning, no chance’, I said I’d rather not do it. He said ‘I know exactly what you mean Ricky’ and that’s the beauty of it.
“It will be exciting, but there’s a bit of professional pride because we’re both former champions, I’m not having him come and outbox me, I’ve no doubt he’ll be saying the same so it’s going to be good.”
If his pad work is anything to go by, fans can believe that. Hatton and Barrera face off this Saturday, with UK viewers able to watch the action via Sky Sports.
