Jonas came out on top in a tough ten rounds against Dicaire as the scorecards read 100-90, 98-92 and 97-93 in favour of ‘Miss GB.’
Jonas started the first strong, as she landed a big right hand, snapping back the head of Dicaire, however, the Canadian came on strong at the end of the round.

‘Miss GB’ regrouped and controlled the second round as she continued to find a home with a backhand shot. Dicaire tried to impose her size on Jonas, but the Brit had the answers.
Dicaire grew into the fight but rounds three and four belonged to Jonas. However, Dicaire found success in round five, landing the cleaner shots, as Jonas seemingly began to slow down.

Jonas would draw blood from the nose of Dicaire in round eight and looked to build on that damage in the ninth, however, Dicaire finished the ninth strong, landing a big shot at the end of the round.
Dicaire needed a big finish, and she went for it as the pair traded, Jonas welcomed a trade-off and went for it herself as the pair went toe-to-toe until the final bell.
‘Miss GB’ was confirmed the winner by unanimous decision, and now holds the IBF, Ring Magazine WBC and WBO world title, as Dicaire tasted defeat for the second time as a pro.
Jonas has now won a world title in each of her fights in 2022, and now it’s only the WBA title that alludes her from being the undisputed champion. The WBA title is held by Jonas’s former foe, Terri Harper, who Jonas drew with back in 2020 when they fought at super featherweight.
