Troy Williamson (19-0-1) defends his British super-welterweight title against Josh Kelly (12-1-1) in a North-East derby on December 2nd.
The two fighters came together today at a launch press conference in London. It was a respectful press conference, as neither man had much bad to say about their opponent. When the fighters came face-to-face at the end, the pair embroiled in an intense stare-off, which saw Kelly attempt to scare the champion, but Williamson kept his composure before the two men shook hands.

Sunderland’s Kelly comes into this bout off the back of a tough test against rugged Argentinian Lucas Bastida back in July, which saw him win by unanimous decision. Darlington’s Williamson comes in off the back of a sixth-round TKO victory over David Benitez in September.
Williamson and Kelly will collide in the ring on Friday, December 2nd at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle. The bout will be available to watch on terrestrial TV as it will be broadcast on Channel 5.
