John Fury has almost had a fight at his son’s press conference for one. The 58-year-old squared up to former MMA fighter, Anthony Taylor.
Tommy Fury, half-brother of the WBC Heavyweight Champion Tyson, will return to the ring in November as he continues his quest for a Jake Paul fight. Also on the card is Anthony Taylor, a sparring partner of Paul’s and former opponent of Tommy’s.
It’s clear that Taylor wants the spotlight – in fact he spent the entire Global Titans press conference inserting himself into situations that didn’t concern him. One man who couldn’t take that was John Fury, who told him ‘be quiet, or I’ll knock you the f**k out’ when he said that he and Tommy should be having a rematch. Things escalated from there.

Jackets were removed, which everybody knows it the universal signal for let’s you and me have a fight. Things were calmed down as Tommy Fury sat waiting to get on with his press conference to hype up a fight with Paul Bamba, a US marine turned fighter with a 5-2 record.

Both Tommy Fury and Anthony Taylor are propping up a Floyd Mayweather exhibition main event where he will face off with YouTube star, Deji. Taylor faces off against Jack Fincham, best known from Love Island. The card will be broadcast on DAZN PPV, live from Dubai on November 13.
Would it really be that farfetched to picture John Fury versus Taylor on the next card like this one? The answer, based on what we’ve seen up until this point, is no, it wouldn’t.
