Jake Paul moved to 6-0 last night in Arizona as he defeated UFC legend, Anderson Silva, by unanimous decision.
‘The Problem Child’ would floor Silva in the final round which extended his margin of victory.
Silva was the first opponent that the YouTuber-turned-boxer had faced that had competed in boxing before, as he held a record of 3-1 coming into this bout, with one of those victories coming over former world champion, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
It was a cagey opening, as Paul would be edging out his jab, but Silva wasn’t letting his hands go. Silva took a different approach in round two, as he rushed out the blocks but missed with a wild left hook, but an uppercut landed for the MMA man.
Round four saw the bout catch fire, as the pair began trading exchanges. Paul worked behind his jab well, as he looked to set up a big right hand, but Silva avoided the shots. Silva then came on strong in round five, it was believed that he was down on the scorecards, but he got himself right back into the fight, landing eye-catching uppercuts and working the body of his American counterpart.
Paul got his foothold back into the fight in the sixth and seventh round, even opening a cut on the MMA legend.
The final round was upon us, and Silva needed a big round to be in with a chance of winning. However, he would find himself on the floor as ‘The Problem Child’ floored Silva with a huge overhand right.
