WBA, WBO, IBF and Ring magazine world lightweight champion George Kambosos Jr is looking SHARP on the pads ahead of his huge fight in his home country against WBC champion, Devin Haney.
Kambosos made a mockery of the bookies last time out, as he defeated Teofimo Lopez over 12 rounds, even dropping Lopez in the first round, in Madison Square Garden to win his world titles.
Kambosos returns to fight in his home country of Australia for the first time since 2017, as his and Haney's undisputed fight headlines the Marvel Stadium in Melbourne.
Haney won the WBC 'interim' world title in September 2019, when he defeated Zaur Abdullaev. However, in October 2019, current champion Vasiliy Lomachenko was "promoted" to WBC 'Franchise' Champion, meaning Haney was elevated to WBC world champion.
Haney has made four defences of his WBC title against solid names such as JoJo Diaz and Jorge Linares.
The styles that both Haney and Kambosos have provide the ingredients to make this a hugely entertaining bout. But, only man will be standing in the Marvel Stadium at the end of June 4th who can call themselves the Undisputed Lightweight Champion of the world.
