Chris Eubank Jr and Liam Smith came face-to-face for the first time ahead of their January showdown and Eubank Jr revealed a new sponsor he has for the fight.
The Brighton man entered the press conference sporting a KFC jacket, as hints of laughter rang around the room. Eubank Jr was questioned about his attire and claimed that it was part of a sponsorship deal with the fast-food chain.
Yeah, KFC are sponsoring me for this fight. They saw how well I made the weight in my camp for Conor Benn and they said to themselves, you know what, we want this guy on our team.
They’re supplying unlimited KFC for me for the next 8 weeks, it will be apart of my diet in the camp against Smith, it worked well against Conor so… If it’s not broke don’t fix it right?

In the lead-up to his cancelled bout with Conor Benn, it was known that Eubank Jr had to cut a large amount of weight. When people questioned the weight cut, the Brighton man would respond with clips of him eating fast food, and KFC was also seen quite often.

Eubank Jr made the 157lb weight limit for his clash with Benn, but the fight did not go ahead. Now, he fights at his natural weight, with Smith coming up to challenge him at middleweight.
Eubank Jr and Smith collide on January 21st at the AO Arena in Manchester, live on Sky Sports Box Office.
