Last week we saw the boxing world catch fire as WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and former unified champion Anthony Joshua opened negotiations about a potential fight and there seems to progress as Joshua has entered the WBC rankings at 6th.
Fury called out Joshua and laid out the terms and Joshua would reportedly accept. The talks would gain momentum until the agreement of a date became a stumbling block.
Whilst the boxing world questioned whether we'd see this fight, tragic news would break as Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II would pass away, meaning the nation would enter an extended period of mourning. Frank Warren would confirm that negotiations between Fury and Joshua had been paused as a mark of respect to Queen Elizabeth II.
The WBC have since released there rankings and Joshua has entered them in 6th, which could increase the chance of him being able to fight for the belt held by Fury. This could prove a pivotal turning point in these negotiations and really move the 'Battle Of Britain' to a reality.
