Another weekend has passed and the world of boxing is getting busier and in progress to return back to normality. This Easter weekend and the week prior, had events from all over the world, and numerous titles being fought over. Here is the IntuBoxing round up of some of the biggest fights in the world.
The biggest fight of the weekend was the super featherweight encounter between Jamel Herring and Carl Frampton, in which the 35 year old American, showed a dominance which would put the world on notice. He defended his WBO world title, with a stoppage victory in the 6th round, after dropping Frampton twice and Jamie Moore throwing in the towel.
The first title card this week happened on Wednesday in Australia, with Tim Tszyu defending his WBO Global Super Welterweight title against Dennis Hogan. In the fifth round Tszyu knocked down the challenger, and shortly after this, Hogan's corner threw in the towel.
DAZN had a show promoted by Matchroom in Uzbekistan on Saturday and the main event was the world title encounter between Murodjon Akhmadaliev and Ryosuke Iwasa. Akhmadaliev defended his WBA Super and IBF world super bantamweight titles, stopping his Japanese opponent in the 5th round.
