Dalton Smith headlines in Sheffield this Saturday against Sam O’Maison for the British title
One of British boxing's finest prospects, Dalton Smith returns this weekend, as he headlines in his hometown of Sheffield when he challenges Sam O'Maison for the vacant British super lightweight title.
Smith is an avid Sheffield Wednesday fan, and has expressed his desire to headline Hillsborough at a stage in his career, Sheffield Wednesday has been extremely welcoming of Smith's suppor and even feature him in their kit reveal for the 22/23 season. Barry Bannan is a staple to the midfield for Wednesday, and this week the club were filming promotional clips with the players celebrating.
Bannan stepped up and stated he wanted to do the 'Dalton Smith' celebration. Bannan walks up to the camera and unleashes a right hook, before returning to display a combination of shadow punches. The club also decide to present a clip of Smith doing a left hook whilst decked out in this season's Sheffield Wednesday home kit. Sheffield Wednesday posted this clip to Twitter, and Bannan would quote it saying: "Barry the thunder bannan, Dalton"

It is great to see the backing that Sheffield Wednesday are giving to a lifelong fan in Smith, and also plays a big part in Smith's ever-growing fanbase moving forward.
