AJ: Skills don't matter when I connect on your jaw!
The heavyweight clash the world is demanding appears to be around the corner, assuming other parties stick to the script, with Anthony Joshua appearing back to his best against Kubrat Pulev, delivering a huge knockout to the veteran Bulgarian.
Minutes later, after he had spoken to the media, Tyson Fury appeared on social media. From the comfort of his own home, the Gypsy King said he wanted the Joshua fight "now", accusing his rival of running scared.
These insults however, are not a new thing. Both Fury and Joshua have traded verbals for sometime now - and the question was put directly to Joshua, just days after his historic win against Wladimir Klitschko, how he felt about Tyson Fury's comments.
"It's heavyweight boxing, it's about power" the WBA, IBF, IBO, WBO champion stated. "Look at Marvin Hagler versus Tommy Hearns, power. You can have all the skills, all the footwork, but if I land on your jaw, doesn't matter."
The two appear set to face off next year, though Oleksandr Usyk could have something to say about that, having been granted WBO mandatory status after unifying the Cruiserweight division.
