Masvidal had been training Jake Paul for his Ben Askren fight
Jake Paul coach Jorge Masvidal had his own fight in the UFC last night, against Nigerian Kamaru Usman.
The event, at UFC 261, was a rematch - after their first bout saw Masvidal step in at less than a weeks notice and take a gruelling contest to the score cards.
This time however, the finish was conclusive. Ruthlessly knocked out in the second round, Masvidal was dropped with a powerful right hand then pounded into the canvas.
Masvidal's future in the sport is now unclear, while fans call for a return of Khabib to provide a test for Usman.
It's also unclear, but unlikely depending on opponent, whether Masvidal will team up again with Jake Paul. Masvidal was relevant for that camp having previously faced - and knocked out coincidentally in one round - Paul's opponent Ben Askren.
