A British heavyweight who has stamped his name as a top contender in the division, Daniel Dubois gets his chance to shine in America as he faces WBA 'Regular' Heavyweight champion Trevor Bryan this Saturday in Miami.

Dubois is 24 years old and has paved a way to be mentioned alongside the top names in the heavyweight division. Dubois began his professional career back in 2017, where he knocked out Mark Kelly on his debut. In his fifth bout, Dubois produced an emphatic knockout of AJ Carter in one round to pick up the Southern Area title. Thre fights later, the English title came as he knocked out Tom Little.
Dubois continued to rise through the ranks, as he would pick up the British heavyweight title in his 12th bout, in what was tipped to be a 50/50 fight with Nathan Gorman. Dubois proved he was a level above Gorman, stopping him in five rounds. Dubois strung a further three wins together following the Gorman bout, including a brutal one punch knockout of Kyotaro Fujimoto.
Dubois would step up to his toughest test yet in is 16th fight, as he would square off with Olympic Silver medallist and fellow unbeaten British prospect Joe Joyce for the European title. Dubois was unfortunately dealt the first loss of his career, as he sustained a fractured left eye socket, leading to him taking a knee and being counted out.
Dubois bounced back with an emphatic knockout win over Bogdan Dinu to pick up the WBA 'Interim title. Dubois had proved to everyone that he was still a threat to anyone in his division. Dubois went stateside next as he made his US debut against Joe Cusumano on the Jake Paul Vs Tyron Woodley bill. Dubois would waste no time as he knocked Cusumano out in one round to set up the Bryan clash.
Bryan's professioal career began back in 2011, where he defeated Demarcus Young in two rounds. Bryan's first title came in his 13th bout, as he picked up the WBA Fedebol Heavyweight title following a victory over Epifanio Mendoza in Colombia.
Three fights later, Bryan squared off with the experienced Derric Rossy as they contested the vacant NABF Junior Heavyweight title. Bryan would drop Rossy in the first round, before going on to defeat him by unanumous decision after ten rounds.
Bryan's 20th fight saw him pick up the WBA 'Interim' title. BJ Flores was the man stood across the ring rom Bryan, but Bryan dropped Flores multiple times before getting the stoppage in the fourth.The vacant WBA 'Regular title was on the line in Bryan's next bout, which came over two years on from the Flores bout. The former WBC heavyweight champion Bermane Stiverne would be Bryan's opponent. Bryan stopped Stiverne in the 11th round, after dropping him twice in the bout.
Last time out, Bryan won by split decision over Jonathan Guidry. Bryan dropped Guidry in the twelfth and final round to make a sucessful first defence of his belt.
The Bryan Vs Dubois clash will be broadcast live for UK viewers on BT Sport this Saturday. It has been confirmed that the fight will be taking place in the afternoon in the USA, meaning it will be on at a UK friendly time, as it is expected to immediately follow BT Sport's card from Telford on Saturday.
