Beterbiev confirmed no contact had been made from Canelo despite the Mexican's claims
Artur Beterbiev stopped Marcus Browne in nine last night, claiming his SEVENTEENTH STRAIGHT KNOCKOUT and maintaining his 100% KO record.
Despite suffering a bad cut in the fifth, Beterbiev went toe to toe with Browne as both men produced a Rocky Balboa style clash, swinging, landing and bloodying.
The Russian is the only champion in world boxing with a 100% KO streak and has been linked with a fight with Canelo. The Pound for Pound star said his team had reached out to Beterbiev, a claim rebuffed and turned round, Beterbiev saying his team were 'ready to take the call', but 'they hadn't heard anything yet'.
