Following Deontay Wilder's latest claim that Fury had something the "size and shape of an egg weight" in his gloves, this video showing Wilder's team watching Fury have his hands wrapped just before their February rematch.
After months of relative silence, Deontay Wilder took to Instagram last week to put forward his latest theories to explain his seventh round TKO loss to Britain's Tyson Fury in Las Vegas earlier this year. In the video, Wilder accused Fury of cheating in both fights and even accused his own trainer, Mark Breland, of being in on the conspiracy to take his WBC heavyweight title away:
"It’s impossible for a brand new 10oz glove to bend, to keep a smushed-in form or to have loose space. I highly believe you had something hard in your glove, something the size and the shape of an egg-weight. It’s the reason why the side of my face swelled up in an egg-weight form. And it left a dent in my face as well.
"But in the midst of it all, you still couldn’t keep this king down. You would have had to kill me. In the end it took a c***-in-a-bucket referee and a disloyal trainer (Mark Breland) to throw the towel in just to stop me."
Fury has yet to directly address the new claims, but did dismiss similar foul play accusations about his gloves back in June. In a video posted to his social media accounts, Fury said:
"Unless Deontay Wilder's own trainer Jay Deas was in on the conspiracy as well along with all the Las Vegas Commission guys who never left the room. Jay Deas was in the room while I had my hands wrapped, he examined them. He was in there when I had my gloves put on, examined them, and everybody else was in the room, they don't leave you.
"So everybody citing foul play – bulls***. And the next time I'll put a dent in his boxing career, end it. It'll be two knockout losses in a row, bye bye forever."
BT Sport confirmed Fury's claims shortly after with a video of their own, showing Jay Deas and members of Wilder's team watching intently, just a few feet away as Fury had his hands wrapped, and the video has since resurfaced on social media in light of Wilder's latest claims. Watch below:
