Team Canelo, broke the news with the following, "In my role as manager and coach of Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez, I allow myself to communicate to the boxing community and to all our fans, that starting today, November 6th, 'Canelo' becomes a free agent, so we are ready to continue with his boxing career.

The rumour mill is already flowing following this announcement with news that Canelo is interested in facing Caleb Plant on December 19th for the IBF Super Middleweight championship. A fight destination possible for this contest will be Texas as they are letting spectators at sporting events.
