The huge heavyweight rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua for Usyk's WBA, WBO and IBF world title, along with the vacant Ring Magazine title added to the mix, takes place this Saturday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. A heavyweight clash to determine the mandatory challenger for the IBF title takes place, as two undefeated former Olympians, Filip Hrgovic and Zhilei Zhang clash for a chance to meet the winner of the main event. The pair were scheduled to meet in May but the bout had to be postponed leading to it landing on this card, Zhang still fought in May as he produced a knockout victory over Scott Alexander. Hrgovic holds an 86% knockout ratio, and when speaking to IntuBoxing this week, he made the bold claim that he's going to add Zhang to the list of fighters he's knocked out.
Callum Smith returns to the city where he was crowned world super middleweight champion back in 2018. Smith has since moved up to the light heavyweight division and produced a frightening knockout when he defeated Lenin Castillo last time out. Smith's opponent is Mathieu Bauderlique, a former Olympian representing France, who holds a record of 21-1. This bout is a WBA final eliminator, so expect the winner to enter the world title scene following this bout.
Former two-weight world champion Badou Jack makes his return to the ring as he faces Richard Rivera over ten rounds. Jack, now competing at cruiserweight, will be looking to continue his quest to become a three-weight world champion. Big puncher Andrew Tabiti moves up to heavyweight to face James Wilson this weekend. Tabiti was initially pencilled in to face Tyrone Spong, however, an unforeseen travel issue for Spong saw Wilson drafted in.
Ramla Ali and Crystal Garcia Nova make history as they compete in the first female boxing fight in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Ali has been very impressive in her first six outings but now faces a tough test in Nova in a bout that is massive for the sport. Olympic Silver medallist Ben Whittaker makes the quick turnaround from his debut as he faces Petar Nosic over six rounds just three weeks on from his destructive debut.
