Mr. Fury, did you read my article? No, probably not.

For the social media-minded among you, I'm sure it wouldn't have escaped your notice that last night promoter, Frank Warren tweeted a big announcement for tomorrow afternoon. Well, this certainly set the cat among the pigeons with rumors running rife that the announcement will pertain to the long-awaited return of 'the man who beat the man'

Yes, IntuBoxing understands that Tyson Fury is expected to announce his comeback later this afternoon. The announcement will also include details of his comeback fight which is expected to take place on June 9th at Manchester Arena.

It seems like a lifetime ago since we saw the self-proclaimed 'Gyspy King'  shock the boxing world. On a cold night in Dusseldorf, Germany in November 2015 Fury pulled off a huge upset with a career-best performance. In beating Wladimir Klitschko, Fury not only claimed the WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO titles. But he ended the Ukrainian decade-long reign in boxings premier division. He also claimed the lineal title as the best heavyweight on the planet. Although the ring magazine title has been taken from him due to inactivity, it is a title he still holds in namesake by boxing fans across the world.

Since that night Tyson's career and life have taken something of a nosedive. Problems with alcohol and depression and a failed drugs test caused a license suspension and a two year backdated ban by UKAD.

In his absence, we have seen the rise of fellow Brit, Anthony Joshua. Who after beating Joseph Parker a few weeks ago now lays claim to all the titles Fury was forced to vacate. This rise has not gone without criticism from the former champion, who takes to social media to verbally spar with Joshua at any chance he gets. But, with a mooted fight against WBC heavyweight champion, Deontay Wilder seemingly, and i do use that term loosely, closer than being made than ever before. A fight with the Watford man is a pipe dream. For the time being at least ....

Do stay tuned for the announcement this afternoon. And, if our information is correct. Remember you heard it here first!
