Raising the bar

A night of professional boxing at the famous Kings Hall, Stoke.

By John & Molly Edmans   - @intuboxing

Scott Lawton of Impact Boxing Gym is hosting a night of professional boxing at the Kings Hall, Stoke. Doors open at 7pm and tickets are available at the door, so please turn up and support our local boxers.

Fight one we have Ryan Bithell making his professional debut against Nathen Junor who has a record of 0 wins, 3 losses.

Ryan came from a very good amateur background of an impressive record of England 4 Nations silver medalist, 3 time Midlands champion, Aba Golden gloves runner up, and he also fought for Staffordshire in Sweden for the box cup and came 3rd. Ryan has had a 2 year lay off before deciding to join the professional ranks. Ryan has impressed all the coaches at Impact with his dedication, losing up to 4 stone and tirelessly working really hard to recapture his pedigree before his lay off.

We spoke to Ryan and asked how he was feeling before his debut. 'I'm extremely confident, I really believe in my abilities and I want to show my family and fans what I'm made of, just get me in that ring right now!”.

Second fight will be Nikita Silvera who is also making a debut against Borislava Goranova with a record of 11 win, 56 losses. As we all know women's boxing is booming right now, but before it did there were many struggles and relied on great pioneers to bring it to the fold.

Nikita herself has had many struggles to get to this night as she's a serving member of the British Armed Forces, and it has taken many years for their approval and in the end they couldn't prevent this very talented young lady.  Nikita likes to do her talking in the ring. She has a very come forward style, which will make for a great fight.

Third fight will be Jamie Steward who is also making his debut against Quasim Hussain with a  record of 4 wins 92 losses.
Jamie has impressed, most of all not for reasons you might think, he makes no secret of his background of drugs and crime, recently being featured on the BBC and how he has turned his life around and tonight he is achieving his first goal as a professional boxer.

He started his boxing journey on the white collar scene winning many tough fights, which impressed his now coach, Scott Lawton enough to turn him professional. He has a very come forward style, with some very unusual combinations likening to Deontay Wilder. So, ladies and gentlemen, keep your eyes open because this fight may be over very fast.

Next is local boxer Jamal Le Doux, who is fighting 4th on the show against Taha Mirhosseini who's record is 1 win with 1 KO and 9 losses with 6 KOs.

Jamal is as good as it can get, Jamal says “ By choosing to become a vegan I feel I have earned  a healthier and stronger lifestyle. I have never felt as fit in my life and I believe it's the best decision I've ever made".In one of Jamal’s previous fights he succeeded in a TKO against Corey Jackson which gave him the Midlands area Super Middle title, and with this achievement Jamal still remains as they call him ‘lethal’.

Kaash Buttery exploded onto the scene with his fancy footwork and his fast hands. As he takes on his opponent Dean Evans with a record of 8 wins with 4 KOs and 31 losses with 2 KOs.

Kaash hasn't had the best few years, having to deal with the death of his good friend and long time boxing coach Tom Lowe, then pulling out of his last fight with a hand injury, but it's clear to see that Kaash is extremely excited to be back in the ring and as always wanting to put on a great show for his fans.

Next we have Rhasian Earlington  also known as “Siany Baby Ali” fighting against Ossie Jervier with a record of 6 wins 5 KOs and 9 losses 3 KOs.

Rhasian is looking to continue where he left off from his last fight .  He's very well known for his hard training sessions and and dedicates  to achieve is a long-term goal of becoming a world champion.  He has a simple aim and that's to make people around him happy and  it is a very rare sight not to see him  smile, even after he's been punched in the face .

Liam Berrisford AKA ‘Bezzer’ is our Kings Hall main event against Jordan Ellison with his record of 11 wins 1 KO and 24 losses 5 KOs.

Liam has kept himself under the radar waiting for his opportunity to headline the show. Unfortunately for Liam, tonight isn't going to be for the Midland title as billed as his opponent dropped out just weeks before.  Eager not to disappoint Liam chose a very difficult opponent as he believes having these tough tests will pay dividend in giving him the experience to rise to the top.  Liam is aiming to create a legacy to stand alongside some of the Stoke boxing greats and we truly believe Liam has all the attributes to achieve this.
