Pulev vs Big Baby!

Purse bids ordered for June 25th.

Last week Dillian Whyte walked away from a chance to become the IBF mandatory challenger to champion, Anthony Joshua's title. His promoter, Eddie Hearn lost the purse bid, and rumour was Epic Sports & Entertainment (the winning bidders) wanted to stage the fight with Kubrat Pulev in Bulgaria. Just a few days later it was announced that Whyte was fighting former WBO world heavyweight champion, Joseph Parker, Pulev was mighty peeved and the IBF needed to find a new opponent.

IntuBoxing has learned that Jarrell 'Big Baby' Miller (21-0-1,18KO) and Kubrat Pulev (25-1,13KO) have been ordered to begin negotiations to determine who will become Anthony Joshua's mandatory for the title. The IBF received written communication from the Bulgarian's team that they have declined negotiations and have asked for an immediate purse bid. Which was scheduled at the offices of the International Boxing Federation in Springfield, New Jersey on June 25th. However, it is possible for both teams to agree to a deal a quarter of an hour before the bids are opened.

Miller, a native of Brooklyn, New York is on something of a hot streak at present. In his last three fights, he has taken on and beaten three former world title challengers in Gerald Washington, Mariusz Wach and last time out against Johann Duhaupas on April 28th.

Pulev's last three opponents were Dereck Chisora, Samuel Peter and Kevin Johnson. But he has not been seen in a boxing ring since April 2017. He was originally due to face Joshua in October of last year, but he pulled out through injury. Carlos Takam took his place in a losing effort.
