Joshua/Wilder ... It’s 70% Likely Says Hearn.

The Saga For The Undisputed Heavyweight Championship Of The World Continues!

Have you had enough of all the talking? I can’t lie this whole sage feels like pulling teeth. But ladies and gentlemen, we all need to hang on in there. The end may be in sight, at least according to Matchroom promoter, Eddie Hearn.

According to Hearn “positive conversations” in the last 24-hours have left him feeling that this bout is “70 percent” likely to happen.

Deontay Wilder’s team shocked the boxing world last week. Not satisfied with the $12.5 million flat fee suggested by Joshua’s team. His manager launched a $50 million counter offer. But there are many who claim this was nothing but a PR stunt. Wilder’s team even going so far as to refuse to see Hearn whilst he was in New York for the Jacobs/Sulecki fight.

"Their side has been very vocal in letting the media know about everything that is happening

"We've had some positive conversations over the past day or so.

"Negotiations are ongoing and we're all hopeful to reach an agreement."

"I will go back with some very simple questions, which hopefully they can answer, to put us in a position to know whether it is worth talking," Hearn said earlier this week.

"We sent them [on Tuesday] night," Hearn said. "They can't not answer those questions.

"I believe they want to make the fight." Hearn told Sky Sports.

IntuBoxing has learned that talks with mandatory challenger, Alexander Povetkin continue in the background. Wilder too seems to be doing the same. His mandatory challenger, Dominic Breazeale going so far as to claim he’s fighting the Alabama native in August.

This almost feels like a Tolkien novel, like his famous novels the Joshua/Wilder saga is a long one!
