Joshua responds to Fury’s offer
Are we about to see the heavyweight 'Battle Of Britain' between WBC champion Tyson Fury and former unified world heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua? It looks likely as Joshua gives a seemingly positive response to Fury calling him out.
It all began when Fury posted a clip to social media where he revealed that he will be fighting later in the year and offered the shot to Joshua, claiming it would be the 'Battle Of Britain.'
Fury would ignite social media, with many outlets producing unofficial posters regarding the bout. The poster produced by the guys at Boxing Social would be the one to catch the eye of the 'Gypsy King' as he would tweet it with the caption reading: "Yo @anthonyjoshua what you saying big G let’s give the fanz what they want as Usyk is bitching???
"I got the date and venue who will rule Britannia?"
Fury would then attempt to goad Joshua by using a photo from his ring walk from his bout with Dillian Whyte in April which shows Fury sat atop a throne, captioned: "Me sat waiting on @anthonyjoshua to take the Battle of Britain."
Joshua doesn't usually post much on his Twitter, so it was seen as uncharacteristic when he would respond to Fury on the platform. Joshua would ask Fury to get in touch with 258MGT (Joshua's management company), whilst confirming that he will be ready for December: "Yea calm. I don’t do the online discussions just for clout, so if your really about it shout @258mgt. I’ll be ready in December. Khalas."
Both Fury and Joshua have not tweeted since but the pair have captured the imagination of the British public as we await whether we will finally see these two heavyweight giants meet in the ring.
