'The Machine' Stops The Show Early
Liam Williams ended the show in the first round against Andrew Robinson after a cut on the top of his head seemingly motivated him to get his man out there early, and not put any risk on the mandatory shot against Demitrius Andrade in jeapordy.
From the bell, Williams meant business and fired shots that landed. Then a clash of heads cut Robinson, over the left eye which left Robinson stunned. Straight away Williams saw red and finished his opponent with a blistering flurry and crushing body punches. Liam Williams wins in the first round, and retains his British title.
Speaking after the fight, Williams said "obviously after the clash of heads, I saw the cut was bad so thought had to end it before it was a technical draw, I'd like to go as soon as possible, I'd go before Christimas, either with Andrade or if Frank wants to get me out earlier".

In the main undercard fight, Richard Lartey fought Nathan Gorman. This was Gormans first fight in 15 months since the defeat to Daniel Dubois, and it showed early in the contest. Gorman, coming into the third round used the jab a lot better, and used his technical brilliance. After ten gruelling rounds, the judges score the contest 99-92 100-90 100-90 to Nathan Gorman, and the return is complete.
The super middleweight contest is next with the undefeated Willy Hutchinson fighting Jose Miguel Fandino in a ten round contest. Fandino started the fight throwing some wide punches then both settled down. With a minute left of the opening round, Hutchinson stepped his game up and landed some fast and powerful combinations and down went Fandino. After an eight count, Hutchinson ended the contest with another flurry of punches.

Next up was another undefeated fighter, Muheeb Fazeldin against Luke Jones in a six round contest. The opening round in my opinion Luke Jones out fought Fazeldin, and with 58 seconds of the second round, the referee stopped the contest and the underdog Jones won the fight. He landed a nice right hand, then piled on the pressure and the referee stepped in. Big victory for Jones and the Impact Gym again. "I took this fight on 3 weeks notice, I am chuffed to bits, I am buzzing!" Jones said after the fight to the BT sports cameras.
In the shows opening contest, the unbeaten Mark Chamberlain took on Shaun Cooper in an eight round lightweight contest. In the fourth round Chamberlain attacked the body, and eventually the body shots took its toll and Cooper was knocked down. Again, in the 7th round Chamberlain landed another crushing body shot and cooper went down again, for the second time. Cooper has shown a lot of heart as the contest goes the distance. Chamberlain continues his perfect record winning 80-69 on the referees scorecard.
