Sunny Edwards wins the world title in only his 16th professional fight
May day bank holiday weekend is upon us, and once again Frank Warren, has put on an all action show, with the main event being a first world title opportunity for Sunny Edwards, against the defending champion Moruti Mthalane. The contest was Mthalane's fifth defense of his IBF world flyweight title.

Michael Conlan comes into his fight with Ionut Baluta, undefeated and looking to add the vacant WBO International Super Bantamweight Championship to his name, scheduled for a 12 round distance. And what a twelve rounds they were. After Baluta's performance against David Oliver Joyce, a hard evening was in store and after another gruelling distance fight, Conlan got the victory by majority decision with scores of 115-114 117-112 114-114.
Elsewhere on the fight card, there was wins for Troy Williamson, Ryan Garner, Joshua Frankham and Andrew Cain.
