Decision time for the Charlo Brothers

Well known boxing twins with a tough choice to make.

By Aaron Cooper   - @intuboxingfm

If there is a boxing fan alive today that doesn't know the name Jermell or Jermall Charlo, I have yet to meet them.

The Texan natives have risen through the professional boxing ranks with relative ease amassing an impressive knockout streak of thirty-six knockouts in fifty-seven fights. In fact, you would need to go back to May 2016 to see a fight with a Charlo twin in that did not end in a stoppage (Jermall's victory over Austin Trout ended in a unanimous decision). Both men have thrived under the stewardship of Al Haymon and Premier Boxing Champions. But for all the excitement that either man brings to the ring, neither brother has main evented a PBC card to date.

IntuBoxing has learned that a decision will be made on the future of BOTH brothers after Jermell takes on a former opponent of his brother, Austin Trout on June 9th at the Staples Centre, Los Angeles.

It seems as though there is a straight shootout between Top Rank's Bob Arum, and Eddie Hearns Matchroom USA. Hearn certainly has a lot of cash floating around with his $1bn deal with fledgeling streaming service DAZN, but as of yet, he has been unsuccessful in drawing a marquee signing, which the Charlo brothers would certainly be given their name and notoriety in the states. Arum too would be eager to sign both brothers to enhance the talent already at his disposal for Top Rank's new streaming deal with ESPN+.

Whoever they sign with will have picked up possibly the two hottest free agents in the sport!
