Former Champion Wants A Different Opponent
After two fights without a win against now champion Tyson Fury, Deontay Wilder has revealed he is looking to face a different opponent, asked specifically about other Champion Anthony Joshua and his former foe, Andy Ruiz Jr.
The whole heavyweight division are on notice as Wilder seems to be without a dance partner, Fury and Joshua look set to announce an all British mega clash, meaning the scalp of former table topper Wiler could be up for grabs.
Despite coming off the back of a loss, Wilder still poses a major threat to the division. His record of never having faced an opponent he hasn't put to the canvas is intact, as his record breaking knockout legacy, regaerdless of whether his boxing ability is in question.
The potential of two former champs squaring off for the chance to face the eventual Fury AJ winner is lip smacking for heavyweight boxing fans. Ruiz is an enigma, he's looked massively under rated at times, hard done by at times, and outright self perpetuating at times, whereas Wilder is the opposite. He's big, he's ferocious and he wins in one manner only.
Whereas the loser would fall down the pecking order, the division is still full of big fights, while a Ruiz Wilder winner is right there at the top table.
