Josh Taylor Returns To Defend His Belts

The York Hall in Bethnal Green is the stage once again, for the next Frank Warren event this weekend. The fight card has three title fights, with a world championship on the line.

The main event, is the undefeated Tartan Tornado, Josh Taylor defending his WBA Super and IBF World Super Lightweight Titles against the undefeated Apinun Khongsong.

This fight will be the biggest fight of Khongsong's 16 fight career, but the Thailander boasts an impressive 81% KO record. Taylor also boasts an impressive 75% KO record, so this fight will be an explosive show.

Charlie Edwards, the former WBC Flyweight Champion is also fighting on the bill, and will face Kyle Williams. The Wolverhampton fighter, is in action again after losing his last fight against Ionut Baluta for the WBO Bantamweight European Title. Edwards will come into this fight as the bookies favourite, but Williams will be a tough test, and for the first time at Bantamweight how will Edwards react to the step up?

The WBO European Super Bantamweight title will be on the line with David Oliver Joyce taking on Ionut Baluta. Joyce is making the first defence of the title he won against Lee Haskins in February, and Baluta is in his second attempt at European glory after failing to make the weight for the Williams fight.

The undefeated Scotsman, Willy Hutchinson will fight for the vacant IBF European Super Middleweight Title. His opponent hasnt been announced as yet.

The other fights in the card are George Davey vs Jeff Thomas in the super Welterweight division, and Eithan James.
