AJ's next fight to be decided next week?

Barry Hearn Says A Meeting Will Take Place on Tuesday This Week

By Aaron Cooper   - @intuboxingfm

Do you remember when Anthony Joshua's fights were easy to make? It was a great time, wasn't it!

However, as soon as Joshua had his hand raised in victory against Joseph Parker in Cardiff, picking up the New Zealander's WBO Heavyweight title in the process did the real problems begin.

Now I'm not going to go down THAT rabbit hole. We've all had enough of the talk between Joshua and WBC heavyweight king, Deontay Wilder. This saga appears to be testing the resolve of even the most patient of fight fans. If this saga were a book, Leo Tolstoy (the author of war and peace) would have a real fight on his hands for the stories length. I mean all this to and fro could rival the 1225 pages of Tolstoy's novel right?

But anyway, back to my point. Don't worry ladies and gentleman I do have one.

IntuBoxing has learned that Joshua is due to sit down with his team on Tuesday this week to discuss his options.

From what we understand those options are: A two-fight deal with Wilder, which will include a fight in the UK and one in the US. A fight against Jarrell Miller, which will take place in New York City and serve as the main event for one of Matchroom USA's next events. Finally as expected the third fight would be for Joshua to take care of his mandatory obligations and fight Alexander Povetkin. That fight would either take place at Manchester's Old Trafford Stadium or back to Wembley Stadium, the scene of Joshua's biggest win against Wladimir Klitschko.

It doesn't matter whether you are a journalist or pundit, die-hard or casual boxing fan. Joshua/Wilder is the fight ninety percent of fans want to see.

Let's just hope this all gets resolved quickly.
